Kate MacNeil

I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with BSc Physiotherapy degree in 2010, I am fully registered with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) & Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. I worked with NHS Tayside before returning to Glasgow to work at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. After completing rotations I moved to Yorkhill Children's Hospital, before relocating to The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.  I have worked in paediatric physiotherapy since 2014, developing extensive knowledge and experience in assessing and treating babies, children and adolescents with musculoskeletal conditions.  I am a Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, my work has included orthopaedics, rheumatology, trauma and a varied musculoskeletal caseload.

This experience has given me understanding of the physical, developmental and emotional needs of young people and their families.

Assessment & Treatment Approach

I offer specialised assessment from Birth to 15. Assessments are tailored to your child’s age, stage of development and individual needs. I am experienced in supporting children and young people with:

• Developmental assessments
• Torticollis and head-turn preference
• Growth-related conditions
• Musculoskeletal pain
• Concerns about walking patterns
• Soft tissue injury assessment
• Rehabilitation following injury or fracture

I am committed to early intervention, sport specific rehabilitation and supporting a safe return to sport.
