
Mr. Paul Sooby is a consultant ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon currently working within NHS Ayrshire and Arran and as a sub-specialist surgeon in the Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme. He qualified from Brighton and Sussex medical school in 2010 and has worked exclusively within in ENT since 2013. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and is affiliated with the British Society of Otology, ENT UK and British Cochlear Implant Group.
His main clinical interests are hearing loss and rehabilitation, management of the discharging (leaking) ear, ear pain, dizziness and balance disturbance. He also routinely manages nasal congestion, sinus symptoms, throat discomfort and many other conditions affecting the head and neck.
Within Southside Medical, Mr. Sooby is offering private consultations which are clinic based. He performs flexible nasendoscopy to directly visualise the internal nose and voice box, nasal cautery for the management of nosebleeds and microsuction for direct management of ear wax within the clinic. Mr. Sooby does not offer procedures that need to be undertaken in an operating theatre as part of his private practice.
